About This Project

This project involves a proposal for two new double-storey dwellings in Tarneit. The project site is on a corner block, providing opportunities for a wide street frontage at both intersections. The location consists of relatively new residential developments of detached dwellings on both large and small allotments. In addition, the site is in proximity to communal and public areas such as schools, sporting reserves and shopping centre.

Our design takes advantage of the wide street frontage, and therefore the development of two dwellings each facing the two intersecting streets. As gardens/private open spaces are minimal in surrounding homes, this new development will incorporate private open spaces for each dwelling. Both dwellings will have North facing habitable room windows for optimal solar gain.
