Filipino Community Centre

The design proposal for the Filipino Community Centre unfolds as a visionary testament to cultural connectivity and community cohesion. The site, once a hub of education as a school, now transforms into a space that echoes the rich tapestry of Filipino culture, fostering a sense of belonging in the heart of the community.

The absence of dense vegetation allows for a seamless integration of the community centre into its surroundings, offering an open invitation to residents and visitors alike. In a neighborhood characterized by older single-storey dwellings and burgeoning signs of new developments, the Filipino Community Centre stands as a beacon of cultural identity and collective pride.

Inspired by Filipino aesthetics, the architectural design weaves a narrative that transcends mere structure. A harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary elements, the community centre pays homage to the cultural roots while embracing the evolving identity of the Filipino diaspora. Warm and vibrant colors, reflective of the archipelago's natural beauty, adorn the façade, creating an inviting and celebratory presence in the residential enclave.
